Lawson Park incorporated her love for art into whimsical prints. A simple white shift dress featured embroidered water color hued florals throughout.

This year’s presentation showcased everything from Kiki Wanjing Zuo’s ruffled wearable art pieces to Lawson Park’s embroidered housecoats layered over delicately stitched undergarments, displaying the students’ unique perspectives.

At the same time that she enrolled in the MFA program, she founded her own line, Brooks Avenue, a line of women’s clothing and sleepwear. She combines painterly prints from sun-drenched florals to whimsical motifs in a vintage-meets-modern collection.
